《小公主：A LITTLE PRINCESS（英文原版）》读后感1400字

《A LITTLE PRINCESS》——愿善良与素养永存于你我心中

这是我完整、心平气和、每天有规律的读完的第二本英文原著，受奶爸《把你的英语用起来》影响，我在三个月前就开始读英文原著。的确，刚开始的时候，有点点吃力，随着思维的习惯，越来越能体会到那种原汁原味的感觉，非常好，以后也会尝试更多中除了英文以外的语言。

《A LITTLE PRINCESS》讲了一个出生于印度富裕单亲海军家庭的小女孩Sara被爸爸送去英国读书，在家境富足和因爸爸去世未能交学费时遭到的巨大差异对待，让她的人生从“养尊处优”的高贵生活一下子掉到乞丐的悲惨。即使是这样，Sara也依旧像一股清流，在因受校长虐待被“放逐”破烂的阁楼的时候，早年良好的修养和素养仍旧让她看起来并不是一个乞丐，依然是位小公主。

Sara早年家境富裕的时候，邻居和认识的人都夸她beautiful，而她可能是因为家庭教育和大量读书的原因，心智比较早熟，幼小的她有着跟年龄不符的懂事与自我认识能力。

“Why does she say I am a beautiful child?” she was thinking. “I am not beautiful at all.

Sara说，自己并不漂亮，为什么别人都说她漂亮？那是一种疑问，也是一种不懂社会奉承的淳朴善良。

当爸爸送她去英国上学的时候，她本不愿离开与她相依为命的父亲，那是他唯一的亲人，母亲早已离开。懂事的Sara说，她想读更多的书，为了能有更多的能力去与爸爸一起生活。但走出家里的象牙塔后，她发现其他小朋友们都有爸爸妈妈送她们去学校。她并不是唯一被送去学校的孩子。于是，上学的好奇心平息了一会。

但到底是学校，姑且说是幼儿园吧。幼儿园的小朋友来自不一样的家庭，受到不同的教育，家教、素养等都参次不齐，而且并非每个小朋友都像Sara那样爱阅读、爱思考。当面对一些小朋友之间的嘲弄、孤立行为的时候，她更多的是不理解，与发出理智的感慨。

It isn’t funny, really,” she said between her teeth, as she bent over her book. “They ought not to laugh.”

我们平时又何尝不应该如她一般，保持友好待人的态度，不要随意去孤立、嘲弄一个人。为人父母，该育之平等、友好待人；为人朋友，该真诚相待，不该随意戏弄；为人同学，该有难同当，有活动一起风险。因为对有些人来说，某个时期内的一个无意之举，可能就造成了一生的伤疤，揭都揭不开。Sara给我们上了一堂课。

当Sara遭遇困厄的时候，或许是一种来自长辈的谆谆教导，既然上帝给了你喜笑、开朗的心，那就不要辜负，勇敢地坚持下去。

If Nature has made you for a giver, your hands are born open, and so is your heart; and though there may be times when your hands are empty, your heart is always full, and you can give things out of that—warm things, kind things, sweet things—help and comfort and laughter—and sometimes gay, kind laughter is the best help of all.

任何时候，多给别人一个友好的微笑，便是最大的帮助。

面对黑暗，不抱怨，假装那是战争生活的一部分，从容地面对。Sara在受到校长不给吃饭，被关在破败的阁楼的时候，有个人对她说了这句话。

“Soldiers don’t complain,” she would say between her small, shut teeth, “I am not going to do it; I will pretend this is part of a war.”

是的，生活总免不了遇到不顺风顺水的时候，但那并不是全部，如果你用全部的心情去陪伴那糟糕的一部分，那么你就体验不到人生的乐趣。要学会吧酸甜苦辣当作常态，不要老是抱怨。

多人否定自己的时候，难免也会有自我否定的怀疑。Sara付不起学费，于是一夜成为了一个乞丐，但乞丐想成就成的吗？

“I don’t want you to be as poor as a beggar.”

在你犹疑不决的时候，导师也许便会到来。

“She didn’t speak like a beggar!” cried Nora. “And her face didn’t really look like a beggar’s face!”

一个人的气质并不容易改变，外表的寒酸不代表精神的贫瘠，良好的教养很好的体现了Sara看起来就不是乞丐。

When you will not fly into a passion people know you are stronger than they are, because you are strong enough to hold in your rage, and they are not, and they say stupid things they wish they hadn’t said afterward. There’s nothing so strong as rage, except what makes you hold it in—that’s stronger. It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do.

当你在群体里没有受到热情欢迎的时候，可能是你的能力不够，不值得别人的重视，所以你应该去学习，让自己成长，变得更优秀。

相信自己能，自己就能，现在自己不能，就是不能。修行路中，别忘了自我暗示。

If you can’t, you can’t. If I can—why, I can; that’s all.”

最后，不管发生什么，你总不要忘记自己并非孤身一人。你还有支持你的朋友。

whatever happens, somewhere in the world there is a heavenly kind person who is my friend—my friend. If I never know who it is—if I never can even thank him—I shall never feel quite so lonely. Oh, the Magic was good to me!”

所以，不管怎么样，我们都应该去学习，理解，成长

And, somehow, Sara felt as if she understood her, though she said so little, and only stood still and looked and looked after her as she went out of the shop with the Indian gentleman, and they got into the carriage and drove away.
