我的手顺着他胳膊肘上微微发蓝的静脉，轻轻地抚摸着那完美的肌肤，另一只手伸出去想把他的手翻过来。他猜出了我的心思，用他那令人瞠目结舌、迅雷不及掩耳的动作一下子把手心翻了过来。这回真吓了我一跳，手指不觉在他的胳膊上停滞了片刻。

"对不起，"他的声音很轻。我抬起头来，正好看到他又闭上了那双金黄色的眼睛，"跟你在一起这么容易，我倒觉得有些不自在了。"

我将他的手抬起来，翻过来翻过去地看太阳在他手掌上发出的光亮。我把他的手又往上抬了抬，想看清他皮肤里藏着的东西。

"告诉我你在想什么，""他轻声问道，我看见他的双眼正盯着我看，神情突然变得很专注了，""我还是觉得很奇怪，真不知道是为什么。"

"你是知道的。我们大伙儿一直都这么认为。"

"做个吸血鬼真是很困难的生活啊。"他的语气中带有的一丝悔恨难道是我的想象？"可你没告诉过我。"

"我原本希望我能知道你一直在想什么……""我犹豫了。"

"噢？"

"我原本希望我能相信你是真的，希望我不感到害怕。"

"我并想让你感到害怕，"他的声音轻得跟嗡嗡似的。我听出了他无法真实表白的意思 —— 我没有必要害怕，也没有什么可以怕的。"
